1964 Land Rover Series IIA

The classic Landrover has become very collectable since its 60th year in production, and this is a very sound and original example of one of the last of the “real Landrovers” combing the simplicity and ruggedness of the Series I with the extra accommodation of the later vehicles and the stronger and more powerful 2 ¼ litre 4 cylinder engine. This was the last model before the introduction of the plastic dashboard and all that went with it.
BAD 710B was registered on 1 June 1964 to Viscount Monsell of Dumbleton, Evesham, who used the vehicle on his estate until it was purchased in September 1989 by equally distinguished second owner who now offers it for sale.
Unused since 1995, the Landrover has recently been recommissioned at considerable expense and is now running well. A local Landrover garage carried out the mechanical work including rebuilding the brakes with new cylinders and reports that the whole vehicle is in quite remarkable condition and surprisingly has no rust at all in any of the usual places.
An interesting early Landrover, finished in the attractive blue paintwork option, with a good history of just two owners and extremely original in all aspects. The vehicle is of course free to tax for use on the road and is ready for work.
