Lot: 807
1933 Austin Seven Sports 65 Engine

Registration No. N/A
Chassis No. N/A
Engine No. M180614 (Crankca
Estimate: £1,500-£1,800
Hammer price:£ 2200

This 1933 Sports 65 engine was acquired by the vendor of the previous Lot (Austin 7 Nippy) but not fitted. It has apparently been rebuilt with new valves, pistons and bearings and has a later Ruby type flywheel and clutch, and a desirable 14 mm plug head. It is complete with inlet and exhaust manifolds.

The block bears the correct ‘Chromidium’ casting mark, and the sump is of the heavily finned alloy type, holding 1 gallon of oil, but prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves as to the correctness of other internal parts, though the engine appears to be properly prepared in an ‘engineering’ manner.
