1934 Rolls Royce 20/25 Chassis
In total 3,827 20/25 chassis were laid down between 1929 and the end of production in 1936, and the offered here is GKC 23, just two chassis numbers earlier than the Barker limousine also offered today. It was also the second chassis to be fi tted with the DWS permanent screw jacking and also the needle bearing prop shaft system. It benefi ts from all the improvements made since 1929, particularly the “Staybrite” stainless steel radiator and the improvements to braking introduced in 1932.
The car is now a rolling chassis, and has been in the present ownership in this form for many years. A partial restoration was commenced some years ago; the chassis was painted and the whole re-assembled on its wheels with all the correct major units in place. The engine, gearbox etc are all free, and the chassis is fitted with its correct and desirable “sloping louvre” bonnet. The registration JH 9068, dating from 17 May 1934, is safeguarded in the V5 certifi cate with the car.
A rare opportunity to purchase a late 20/25 chassis, with all the correct parts, and “unmessed about” after long term hibernation. No photos
